Walkability: Mindsets & Experiences

Walkability is valuable as a feature of a community and city space. It is also personal, as specific places, moments and experiences influence and shape people’s love of walking and interest in issues of walkable cities.

The psychology of how we choose to move through our communities is a combination of so many factors including ease of access, local mobility culture as well as our own mindsets formed through various experiences of mobility and space throughout our lives.

We look forward to discussing these themes in more depth- the individual motivations and mindests as well as collective cultural aspects influencing our perception of the spaces which we inhabit and how we choose to move.
