Driving Urban Transitions Partnership 15-Minute City Project: CONIFER – Co-imagining needs-based mobility visions for the proximity city
Project Leader: VUB

The CONIFER project aims to reshape urban mobility by promoting proximity living, integrating it into strategic planning with innovative foresight methods. Engaging children, educators, and communities, it seeks to craft equitable, accessible 15-minute city strategies through participatory civic labs across Europe.
I’m joining CONIFER as a researcher based at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization, which is a core partner for CONIFER. My PhD supervisor Ewa Karolina Korcelli-Olejniczak is serving as local coordinator and Mariusz Kowalski as researcher.

We’re in great company with so many other fascinating 15-minute City projects!
I am also representing my NGO, Pedestrian Space, which is a project cooperation partner.

The CONIFER kick-off meeting at VUB brought together a diverse consortium of research institutions, city authorities, SMEs, and non-profits to set the stage for the project’s three-year journey.
