10th Urban Mobility workshop!
How are you moving today?
I begin all my workshops with this question and for my 10th Urban Mobility workshop with students at the Faculty of Geography & Regional Studies at University of Warsaw we began with all students introducing themselves, their hometowns as well as how they commuted to the university that day.
Most had come by tram or bus (several had come by both), a few by metro and walking. None of them drove regularly (the majority not at all and had no interest) and it was interesting to hear the majority of them have fierce critique of e-scooters.
It was a truly insightful, dialed-in, very sustainable mobility-minded and observant group of students at the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies at the University of Warsaw, from different programs including ‘Urban Planning’ as well as ‘Spatial Economy and Territorial Foresight’ as well as some individuals who work for the City.
The workshop went 2x’s longer than my standard workshops take! The group had so much insight to share – both personal mobility reflections as well as keen, broader observations on issues of parking, city transit services, walkability issues and more. There was a lot of dialogue and even some great robust debate!
See you again for Workshop part II in late April?
Thank you Michał Stokowski for the thoughtful and superb coordination! Looking forward to the next one!
