Toilet Equity Roundtables

What is the situation with accessible and clean public bathrooms in your community? Are they relatively easy to find or difficult?

Pedestrian Space has hosted 2 Roundtables on this very topic for the Global Walkability Correspondents Network this month. Visit our Toilet Equity Series page and resource hub to learn more: https://pedestrianspace.org/toilet-equity-series/

Are you involved with issues of Toilet Equity and Access (or know someone who is) and would like to participate? Please feel free to email us at info@pedestrianspace.org.

In the below video clip, Perth-based Karen Lee and Warsaw-based Annika Lundkvist, FSI (co-hosts of the Roundtables) share a bit about their interests in hosting these sessions.

Roundtable participants have the opportunity to:

>Reflect on publicly accessible bathrooms in their communities including who has access, when, and on what terms and also considering the condition, safety, and how different people’s needs are met or not met.

>Bring experiences to share including creating a physical or digital representation of your own ‘mental map’ of facilities.

>Share any research or projects which address public bathroom access to share.
