Nahom Teklu on Walkability

Excerpt from a chat welcoming Addis Abeba-based Nahom Teklu to the Global Walkability Correspondents Network at Pedestrian Space.

“By enhancing walkability, we are also promoting socialization in which human beings can find culture- urban culture. Walkability is something we can use as a leading concept to plan cities and redesign already existing built environments, in order to give it a human quality. The issue of walkability extends beyond this. It is really about the innate senses and core aspects of humanity.”
