Access for all types of movers (disabled, cyclists, foot traffic, strollers etc) as well as equity issues related to gender and other demographics is a critical piece in practical implementation of pedestrianisation initiatives. Cultural issues and differences can also influence individual’s experience of the built environment and more specifically movement through it.
With regards to global perspective, it is critical to document how equity issues differ by culture and country.
