The aim of this special issue was to bring a diverse lens of awareness to the various challenges of addressing walkability across cultures and continents. The scope and diversity of articles in this Special Issue truly illustrate just how global issues of walkability are, but also the level of commitment that scholars and practitioners worldwide have in researching the problems, working on and implementing solutions, and shaping public awareness.
