The Pedestrian Space ‘Global URBAN HEAT Media Lab’ workshop: an interdisciplinary university course workshop approach
This urban heat-focused workshop experience is part of the ‘Sustainable Urbanism & Planetary Health’ program I am developing, and remote facilitation is possible.
Via the workshop, students explore and examine issues of urban heat via their disciplinary lens while also developing an element of media (social media graphics, photo series, short video, blog post etc).
Students are able to work independently or collaboratively and to also, via their media creation, explore communication with a wider audience (outside their discipline).
I welcome collaboration with diverse faculties and university departments. In the past, I have hosted academic placements in Film & TV at my NGO, Pedestrian Space, urban studies interns, and more, while also facilitating numerous workshops with students in geography, urban planning, architecture, and public policy.
