I began collecting perceptions of Radom earlier this month.
I collected many right at my school workplace, at an event at the city library, at the Monday English conversational club I lead, and through my growing local network.
At the city library event, as I asked one person their impressions, we were soon surrounded by others, curious to listen and also share.
I got their impressions as well.
I really value how engaged people become when asked about their perception of their city.
One of my colleagues at work asked if this all will be available to see sometime.
Yes. This is the foundation to a research study, but ultimately I aspire to also have a community-engaged aspect for the people of the city (next late Spring or early Summer).
At this preliminary research stage, I am also fielding perceptions about Radom from residents of Poland who do not live in Radom. The main focus however, is the perception of locals.
